Ben Burtt is listed on IMDb as performing a voice. Something tells me the "voice" he is performing is WALL·E's.

I didn't really like Ratatouille. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but I got bored with it.

From what I've seen of Wall-E so far, though, I'm pretty excited for it.

I didn't really like Ratatouille or Cars, and I don't think Pixar was quite as proud of them as they have been of some of their past projects.

They seem to be quite proud of WALL-E, though. If they think it's great, there's a good chance I will enjoy it.

I'm still convinced that Cars was a half-assed, fuck-you-and-goodbye to Disney. In a way, it's sort of funny that they stuck with them. Of course, they got the best package deal since RKO gave Welles the full hands-off treatment for Kane, so I'm sure that contributed to their decision. And Lasseter also gets to oversee the rest of Disney animation, so they won't have to be partners with peddlers of soulless, animated mediocrity anymore. Potentially. Time will tell.

Non-Pixar Disney might just go right on sucking.

I saw a commercial for this whilst getting ready for work, this morning.

This kind of attention to storytelling is why Pixar mops the floor with other CG cartoon studios.

Right there with you, buddy. Pixar's track record is virtually flawless, and their ability to mesh fantastic writing with jaw-dropping visuals, superb characterization, and arresting art direction is something most live-action Hollywood studios wish they had, let alone other animation firms.

I haven't seen a Pixar film since Toy Story 2.

Finding Nemo and The Incredibles are decent. Check 'em out.

There's also A Bug's Life--but I maintain that AntZ is better.

While we're talking about Monsters... at Tomorrow Land in Disney World, they set up a Monsters, Inc. comedy club. While one waits in line, they are reminded, periodically, that they can text jokes to a number and they will be read during the show. My sister submitted one.

The show consists of two screens. One has Mike (Billy Crystal), who introduces the monster comedians. The other screen is where the comedians appear. This is the cool part: the monsters are animated on the screen, but there are real actors behind the stage that can view the audience. This way, the monsters on the screen interact with the audience.

It was a pretty cool idea.

I enjoyed Ratatouille well enough but never could build up the courage to watch Cars. I liked the concept better when it was called Doc Hollywood and we got to see what's-her-name's tits.

We diverge on Monsters, Inc., but I think my jaw hit the floor when you said Antz is better than A Bug's Life. I think you're the only person who has agreed with me on that!
