Ooh, a full four days before Cloverfield. Do you think this will cut into Cloverfield's business? Do you think people will lock themselves in their houses, strip down to their underwear, dip into their ramen store and do nothing for weeks and weeks but watch the show over and over and over, basking in its awesome awesomeness?

Or do you think it will probably blow goat chunks and get canceled after five episodes?

It doesn't even need to blow goat chunks for Fox to cancel it, come to think.

I think it might contract Bionic syndrome. The pilot will be terrible, but it'll get great ratings beause FOX'll promote the ever-living hell out of it. Then the second episode will taper off, as will the third, but it'll somehow hang in there.

The rest is yet undetermined. Let's see what Bionic does.

Anyone else watch this last night? I thought it was a good pilot and they've got me hooked. The little nods to the movies were cool and Summer Glau was back in River Tam-esque mode kicking butt and looking hot while doing it. And speaking of hot, I'll take Lena Headey as Sarah Connor anyday.

The apparent changes to the timeline are going to require some digesting but I suppose I can overlook them if they fit within continuity. They seem more concerned with maintaining the continuity of the first two films, rather than T3, which is fine.

I saw it. I liked it enough to watch again tonight. We'll see, after that...

I did not see the [spoiler]eight-year jump[/spoiler] coming, though. Interesting.

This is already an alternate universe from the events of T2. The events in that film wiped out the timeline that is described in the first two films. This is different now, but Skynet still gets built. We'll see how they handle it.

My dad and I both chuckled that they couldn't get Joe Morton for that picture of Dyson and his family. He's only working on Eureka. I'm sure he could've stopped over to take a picture.

That's why it's an alternate universe.

The guy they killed wasn't really Dyson. It was an imposter!

I just spoiled the whole first season.

This obliterates all previously movie-considered timelines and starts by borrowing elements from T2:3D.

It's horseshit. I won't watch another minute of it.

Finally watched the pilot (I couldn't tape it the first Sunday, so had to wait till Fox reran it). I liked it. The beginning was a bit rough, and I don't really care for the actress playing Sarah Connor. She's definitely no Linda Hamilton. But I thought the kid playing John was ok, and Summer Glau was awesome. The dude Terminator was pretty cool too. I will watch more.

That was easily one of THE best season premieres I've ever seen. What an awesome episode. There was one really cool, huge surprise at the end and a whole lot of goodness throughout. If the entire season is like this, it's going to be damn sweet.

I was going to say, just before it was revealed, that the secret is a secret... but I didn't realize WHAT kind of secret the secret was. That was very cool.

I have to say that I did not see that coming until right before it happened...then I was floored! The intensity of this show is just amazing and I love the surprises that the writers keep throwing out there.
