Jet Li? Michelle Yeoh? (According to IMDB) Maria Bello? NO STEPHEN SOMMERS!!???!?! I'll already go on record saying this should easily be the best of the Mummy movies.

Of course, that's not really saying much.

Yeah, it's directed by Rob Cohen of XXX and Fast and the Furious fame.

He's better than Sommers but not by much.

I've yet to figure out what drew people to the first one in the series (geh...I can't believe it's actually a series).

I know I went because, I believe, it was the first film to have the final Phantom Menace trailer attached to it.

This new one also has Antony Wong in it. He's one of the best actors working in Hong Kong and has been for some time. He is kinda like their version Jack Nicholson. A few months ago I watched a movie he was in called The Ebola Syndrome in which he contracts the ebola virus and starts spreading it around to everyone on purpose. Good stuff.

Looks like people are really clamoring for this one!

I'd pay $7 to see the interrogation scene in TDK again, rather than this whole movie.

But it has a CG Wampa AND a 3 headed CG dragon in it!

Clearly, they are on the cutting edge of technology.

I don't think it will be "at least as" good as IJ4. It might be as good, but nothing memorable. Then again, if Jet Li kills Fraser at the end of the film, it will be better.

It will probably be better, if only for the fact that we won't walk out of it disappointed.

We all knew Indy 4 would suck, but there was still that glimmer of hope.

This one is a turd's turd, so in some weird way it will probably be more enjoyable.

Either way, it has no shot, especially if this Batman train keeps on a' rolling.

Walking out of it disappointed assumes we'd walk into a theater playing it in the first place. Until Tropic Thunder comes out, I won't be walking into any theater lacking the words "The Dark Knight" on the sign outside the doors.

Why does all the shittiest CGI monsters turn and yell right in the camera?

Crappy stone mummy, crappy dragon, crappy snowman.

This looks like a sequel to Van Helsing.

The crappy CG creatures have to turn and yell at the camera because that's what crappy CG creatures do.

It's no different than the crappy CG Jar Jar or the crappy CG Iron Man.

Someone needs to inform the producers of these shitfest that it's not '95 anymore.
