DH is reporting, via USA Today, that sequences from 'The Dark Knight' will be shot with Imax cameras. The above link includes a cool pic of what appears to the Joker's henchmen in clown masks. Also included is a link to THIS also rather cool pic of a blurry Joker.

I saw Superman Returns in IMAX 3D. It was pretty breathtaking.

I'm not sure huge Batman would be as breathtaking. Especially if they're sticking with that boring, Burton-esque suit from the last movie.

I'm not sure that's fair to the Nolan-suit designers. Sure, it's dark like the Burton suit but it's a hell of a lot more flexible and utilitarian. Also, do we really want to see a guy who uses cover of night in bright colors and flashy accessories? Do we really want to see him in Adam West's suit?

You know, they kept saying that, but they sure as hell didn't show it off. Batman looked as stiff to me as usual, and the fight scenes made even more use of closeups and quick cuts than Burton's Batman movies.

The chest piece was different, but the cowl looked pretty damned Burton-esque.

I'd just like to see some gr[e/a]y for a change. Dark gr[e/a]y contrasting with light gr[e/a]y . . . it shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

Shumacher already did the blue. We don't need no stinkin' blue.

I actually liked the new batuit. It was, for the most part, allegedly functional, as was the cowl. The cowl is totally different than the Keaton-era cowl for sure.

I found the write-up about the ears very interesting. I had no idea that is why none of the previous actors could turn their heads. I just thought they were really bad at acting in a bat suit.

I don't like the Tron-y look to it. Really, how much protection is it offering when you have that many openings that are that large between pieces?

Damn. I was going to wait until I see the Simpsons Movie on Saturday but now those lines about people dying and "s"laughter is the best medicine have me conflicted. Do I watch the cellphone version? Do I wait for the Qucktime hookup? Do I wait for the real deal so I can see it in all its big-screen glory? I don't want to wait but I'm not sure I want to spoil it on a small screen.

On a side note, when I saw "people will die" something popped into my head:

When I get angry, Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset. And when Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset, PEOPLE DIE!!!
