I think I've alluded to this in other threads, but my wife and I are in the process of updating our house so we can put it on the market so we can sell it and then move. Probably not the best possible timing, but we just really want to get out of our current neighborhood. Its not the best part of Milwaukee.

So tomorrow I have 3 friends and my brother-in-law coming over to repair/replace some drywall in my basement, put in a new kitchen floor and replace our bathroom counter top. So that should be fun.

So I'm ready for these projects, I've been spending a crazy amount of time prepping the house for this work. Cleaning organizing, moving stuff, etc. so that when they get here we can just start working.

As a result I haven't had any time to watch much of the new shows that have started in the last week, (I barely have time to manage the DVR so nothing gets deleted, its about 85% full!!). I stayed up late the past two Mondays just to watch Heroes! Hopefully things will slow down a bit next week and I can start to catch up, but I doubt it.

Just wanted to vent a bit and share why I'm so behind in my entertainment lately. I'll try to post stuff as I get caught up.

Working on a house can be a real bitch. My father moved to Panama a few years back and started building an octagon-shaped house on top of a hill in the jungle (he's a paranoid ex-Army Ranger). It was a money pit, unsurprisingly. I visited him there. It was a miserable experience. Did I recount that experience, here? If I did not, I will do so.

I'm behind on everything.

You did tell us about that, it sounded pretty bad. My weekend tasks did not go as well as I had hoped, so I have more work to do this week and next weekend. Seems like I took 2 steps forward and 3 back this weekend. Ugh.

Hopefully I can get it all finished in the next week or two, but I'm not hopeful.
