Funny you should say that. I'm doing that right now. I picked up a copy of it at Costco a few weeks back for pretty cheap and started reading it last weekend. Since its basically a big comic book, (it is a big comic book), it shouldn't take me nearly as long to read it as it is, but with the kid I don't get to read as much as I'd like.
So far its interesting, but I'm not hooked yet...

I have reservations about this movie.
Dr. Manhattan looks CGI in a time where he shouldn't look CGI. His arms don't bend very well. I can't understand why they can't get the bending of arms correct with CGI charactors. People have elbows....

From what I've been reading, (too lazy to look up links), all your fears may be for naught. It sounds like Fox and WB are in a legal dispute over who owns the rights and it might not get to be released.
I for one hope it does. I have yet to hear anything that pisses me off. I recently read the Graphic Novel for the first time, (I know, I know), and it was pretty good, so I'm looking forward to the movie. Everything I've seen looks pretty spot on with the book, so it should be good. We will see.
