They're going to have to have the Joker in the next Batman, and while some of you think it's simple to plug someone in to such a role, the Joker MUST appear in the next film for it have any serious chance of being taken, well, seriously.

I officially nominate Simon Baker for the role:



Do any of you tv nerds know if this guy can act or not?

I was under the impression that the Internet had officially selected Joseph Gordon Levitt to succeed Ledger.

He's on CBS instead of NBC, so he's at least on the top of the network food chain.

He's all right. He's on The Mentalist, which I've seen a couple times. He can do happy-go-luck facade covering massive emotional trauma pretty well... but I don't know if he could be the Joker.

He looks enough like Ledger, though.

The lead singer of Silverchair (Daniel Johns) is Australian, looks a little like Ledger and was born eighteen days after him.

I've typically hated Silverchair, but their last album is surprisingly listenable. It doesn't hurt that they put Van Dyke Parks in the booth for about half the tracks.

Of course, I'm not being serious about this proposal.
