Ludacris + Prequels = Future YTMND Site

So here's the thing. I did this mock-up of an idea I had and gave it to the guy co-responsible for CrusTMND: I Can Bake These Crusts. My intention with the mock-up was to get him interested enough in my idea to play with it and make something out of it.

A partial inspiration for my idea was this. That's Klaus Nomi, if you didn't already know it.

I thought it would be fun to string together a bunch of instances of Master Kenobi getting thrown back in the prequels. With the exception of that one scene in The Phantom Menace and the last half of Revenge of the Sith, Obi is made pretty much everybody's bitch during the PT's major fight sequences. That is not the manner in which one should Obi.

Regarding the Mock-Up:

I had to use Movie Maker (all I have on my computer), and it kept crashing every time I tried to replace the old audio with the new audio. Whenever I layered new over old and kept the old, it seemed fine. In a perfect world, it would be the song and the song only.

I also didn't bother to do any syncing. Even so, there were happy accidents.

You probably just want me to get on with linking you to the mock-up, don't you? Well, then, I will ado no further. Here it is. The title, tags and classification are all designed to keep anyone unfamiliar with the existence of my YouTube account from seeing it and stealing our idea (and thunder) before the YTMND site goes live. Since I trust you folks, however, I thought I might as well give you a sneak peek. Once the real thing is up and running (it will be much shorter; I've already seen what my collaborator plans to do with it, and it's pretty good), of course, I will give you that link.

A postscript:

I really like the cheapness/laziness (turns out the average YTMNDer also prizes cheapness/laziness) of dropping the volume of the Ludacris song and simply sticking James Earl Jones's "Obi" in over Ludacris's "know me."

I really did think it was funny. I just didn't get a chance to watch it right away because of the work-block and for some reason I'm so fucking busy lately I can hardly stand it.

I guess my lack of interest stems from the fact that YTMND loses its novelty after the 50th different Batman, Kirk or Sulu dance.

Nah, I get the Websense messages on average once a day. Plus they're pretty laid back. Unless I was blatently trying to look at p@rn, I think I'm safe.
