Are its numbers comparable to the Heroes numbers? If they are the same or even slightly lower, I'd wager they would keep it--since it probably costs less to make than Heroes.

With *that* many pilots, though, it seems questionable. They'll have to air them in some time slot, after all.

I've only seen one episode of Chuck. It was pretty funny. Adam Baldwin was in it. Is he a regular on the show?

I read about these last week. The only one that looks mildly interesting is Day One. The rest look tired/boring/stupid.

And even Day One looks like a re-hash of the better Jerhico, (which I was sad to see go after only 1 season and 6 measily wrap-up episodes).

Also, remember that NBC has 5 less hours of "prime-time" this fall when Jay gets the 9-10 slot, (Central). Means less time for Chuck. :-(

As much as I don't like it, and think this is NBC basically saying, "we give up", their thought process does make a little sense.

Think about it. If they put on Leno that fills up 5 out of the available 21 hours of prime-time per week. That means a quarter of their prime-time programming is a no-brainer, they don't even have to think about it. On the other hand, if they would ax the Leno show, they would have to come up with 5 hours of programming. Chuck could easily fill one hour, but you still have 4 other hours to fill. I'm sure the bean-counters would rather have the easy "slam-dunk" of Leno rather than make fans happy and keep one niche show like Chuck.

Stupid, but I "get it".
