I thought that was a big no no.

Chocolate + mint = yes.

Chocolate + peanut butter = yes.

peanut butter + mint = NO!

Chocolate goes with lots of stuff, really, but just because those things go with chocolate, doesn't mean they go with each other. Peanut butter and mint kinda makes me a little nauseous.

I don't know. I mean, the stuff inside doesn't really seem to have the consistency of peanut butter. Sure, it's crushed peanut and it's sweetened a little (or is it? Maybe the chocolate we have to bite through to get us to it only gives us the impression that it's sweetened), but would you really want to spread it across toast? Could you spread it across toast? It strikes me as being a little too coarse to spread with any degree of ease.

And the cup, itself, has a flowery sort of shape.

So I'm just not sure.

Maybe Reese is trading on that uncertainty.

As long as we are speaking of peanut butter, does anyone else LOVE the peanut butter sauce that is on the Peanut Butter Cup Sundae at Friendly's? I can't get enough of the stuff. Why don't they make this for the general public to purchase at your local grocery store? I look for it in the ice cream isle every time I am at the store. I have only found a jar of peanut butter sauce once and it doesn't taste the same.

I'm pretty sure that peanut butter filling is mixed with sugar or something. You're right, it's not the same consistency as regular peanut butter, but it IS a peanutbutter cup.

And, just so we're all clear, it's Reese's, not Reesies.

Besides, Drake can take a joke. He's one of the few people in the forums I feel I can joke with.
