I don't usually like the Kring-written episodes, but I thought this one was pretty enjoyable.

Agreed, though, the Elle/Sylar thing left me scratching my head. I understand what happened... and I'm not sure how much time, exactly, was supposed to pass, but Elle seemed to switch from "You killed my father, prepare to die!" to "Oh, okay, I'll fuck you" pretty quickly.

Though, the character's been so crazy from the get-go, I can accept it as that.

Well, there was that big talk about empathy beforehand. From this I think we are supposed to take that Peter's ability to absorb powers "the easy way" was at least partly due to his ability to empathize with people (being a nurse and all--because, you know, all nurses deeply care for the people they treat). Both Sylar and Peter, then, had parts to the puzzle that is their family's power. (I will make brief parenthetic mention of the Star Wars universe, and how Luke--and, ultimately, Anakin--overcame the shortcomings of the Sith and the Jedi by hybridizing the two. The Force is passion and compassion. The Jedi and Sith trying to lock in on one and deny the other its purchase nearly destroyed the galaxy [in a roundabout way].)

Sylar's reaching out apparently had some kind of balming/pheromone-type effect. Despite their having connected, it made me wonder if she might come out of the drug-like stupor. Maybe his new ability to channel acts in a manner similar to the manner in which a mosquito's numbing agent works. Maybe once he's out of her presence she will start to itch and wonder what the Hell came over her. Maybe not.

When can we expect the next Kring announcement that "the next storylines will be everything the fans want, and not at all like the dogshit storylines we have going on right now."?

Yahoo! lists Mohinder as 1 of 5 characters on tv who need to get axed. This is what they had to say:

There are a million things we'd like to get rid of on "Heroes" (Can this show ever get back to its Season 1 glory days?), but let's start with the obvious, most-glaring: Mohinder Suresh. For a supposedly intelligent scientist, Mohinder has done the dumbest things. He's indecisive, and what's worse is that he's clueless when he finally does make those critical decisions. His idiotic actions make no sense and have turned him into an irritating character. Just hearing his voice with its fake accent annoys us, and it doesn't help that he narrates the opening and closing of each episode. It seems that no one ever dies on "Heroes," but if they ever do, the first to go should be Mohinder.

I'm enjoying Heroes.

I am, too, but I also agree that Mohinder's story and character have been mishandled this year.

This eclipse business also irks me, but let's see how it plays out.

I think most all of these powers have side effects, although the hunger may be the most overt. Peter almost overloaded when he tried to get a grip on his powers while training with Claude. Jessica emerged as a side-effect of Niki’s super-strength and emotional weakness. Isaac believed he needed Heroin to see the future.

Just watched last night's episode.

I'm not entirely sure why Claire said "Holy Sh--" right after Kaito tells Bennett not to get too close. It can't be because Kaito said not to get too close (that wouldn't surprise her, right?)--especially since it was said in Japanese (well, okay, the comic translated it for her).

This must mean she saw something else. Thing is, though, that there was a zooming out immediately after she said this to reveal most of the rooftop, and I could see nothing of note. Did I miss something? Is it just that she's creeped out to see herself as a baby?

Oh, and good riddance if Elle is actually dead.

Claire said holy shit becuase she just fuckin' time-traveled and she just realized it. She's never time traveled in the show, so she's not as blaze' about it as the rest of them are.

All right. I guess I buy that, even if it does seem to me that, at this point, she wouldn't be all that surprised by any power. And you mean "blasé," right? "Blaze" is something her mother does.

I wasn't as annoyed by Green and Meyer as I thought I would be. The plugged Loeb's Red Hulk--which I'm sure is a bittersweet plug for all involved at this point.

I like that the ten-year-old has no qualms with time travel.

I wonder if he just moved Elle and Sylar to a new place, or if he moved them to a new time, too.

I thought the episode was pretty good. Though I would have liked to see Peter get at least his base power back after the eclipse. He pretty much proved he can be heroic without them, so he should get them back, right? At least according to one of the BTE Q&As that Ipsy posted.

Also according to BTE, we got a glimpse of Chapter 4's main bad guy last night. Is it Nathan with his "giving the right people powers is a good idea"? Sylar? Thoughts?

Next week looks interesting with the squad of "supers". Does this mean that Mohinder fixed the formula? Does he find the catalyst? Interesting stuff.

Anyone know how many episodes we have left in this chapter? Last night was episode 10 by my count, so do we have 2 left?

In the promo for next week's episode, Quinto's Sylar says something to the effect of "Surely you don't think you're more powerful than me." Quinto's Sylar emphasizes the "you" and "me" the exact same way Quinto's Spock emphasizes the "you" and "me" in the Star Trek trailer. I'm detecting a hint of limited range.

My favorite scene was between Hiro and his mom. Also, when Sylar said "Cake?"
