I said Dawson's because of Joshua Jackson. Try to keep up.

I should add that, inspite of the fact that I have a great deal of hatred and contempt for two-thirds of the creative staff on this show, I really have no strong feelings in either direction about it.

I just want to get a rise out of Ulic. It nourishes me.

In all honesty, if there wasn't so much other stuff I'm trying to keep track of, and my lady-friend wasn't monopolizing so much of my time, I'd probably watch it.

Personally I wasn't looking forward to a show with Joshua Jackson, but I think he fits his roll on the show really well.

I agree. And with that stubble, he kind of bears a resemblance to Ewan McGregor as a young(er) Obi-Wan Kenobi.

I thought last week's episode was really cool. They have me intrigued, and knowing Abrams, they've planned out at least some of the overarching plot and won't be making it up as they go along (*cough*Heroes*cough*).

Also, John Noble's Dr. Walter Bishop wins my vote for best new TV character. The guy is so much fun to watch, and the eccentric doctor usually has the funniest lines every episode. I loved his portrayal of Denethor in ROTK and seeing his versatility as an actor makes me an even bigger fan.

And in case I didn't mention it before, Anna Torv is hot.

I've gotten mildly into Fringe, which is saying a lot for me. I generally like the story so far, but I see myself getting bored.

Looks too much like the X-Files crossed with Stephen King. Got a little too much of a fanboy vibe to the whole "pattern" thing.

But I really enjoy the characters so far and they have had some interesting plot twists, though the whole dead boyfriend thing is already getting annoying and predictable.

I'll give it a full season. If I don't see any movement, or if it moves down the road of standard predictability, I'll probably stop watching it. But for now, I'm in.

Those of you who haven't been watching The Fringe may want to start giving this show a look, because this week's episode was nothing short of brilliant. It was one of the best hours of TV this entire season, on any network. And it clearly demonstrated that Abrams and co. had a plan from the beginning, have been scripting this with the same kind of care given to Lost, and are building to even greater things.

Not only was the episode fantastic in its own right, it elevated the quality of previous episodes this season by paying forward certain plot threads that seemed relatively ordinary at the time.

A show can plan arcs all it wants, but if its pilot fails to keep a viewer interested, what's the point of the rest?

What's the episode title? Do I have to see every episode before it to appreciate this one? If not, I'll give it a shot. If so, I just don't have that kinda time, my friend.

The pilot kept me interested enough to watch the series, and I'm glad I did.

That's great. I was making a thinly-veiled attempt to talk about my own opinions about the show. Now, answer the rest of my question.

I was just reading through the "Fox did it again..." thread about how they axe shows way too early and came across this nugget:

I'm glad I didn't delete the episodes and actually watched Season one as it was some of the best TV on last year. I've got the first 3 episodes of Season 2 on my, (overloaded), DVR and hope to watch them this weekend.

Sometimes I LIKE being wrong!

I got through the first episode of Season 2 last night. It was really good, but, I'm very confused. From what I remember Olivia was in Dr. Bell's office in an alternate universe at the end of last season. So did I miss something, (forgot it more likely), or did they just jump to her being back in this universe with no memory of the trip to the "other side"??

Also, what's up with her partner? I'm sure I'm missing something there as I don't recall him being a "bad" guy at the end of last season. BTW, that typewriter that he uses is pretty cool.
