Their newest show, Anchorwoman, was canceled after 1 episode.


If you weren't aware by now, the #1 Rule of TV is never start watching a new show on Fox.


On a side note, the #1 rule of Wizards is People are Stupid. Alright, so that's a really dumb rule, but don't let it detract you from the #1 TV Rule.

I saw that show had been cancelled, though I only knew of it from its annoying commercials. It seemed to have been cancelled awfully fast, but I didn't realize it had only been one episode. It amuses me to know this.

I'm slackin'... that show came and went before I could even say anything about it.

Hey, Fox did us all a favor for once. With a star so vapid and commercials so devoid of any meaningful substance, the success of any such show would have proven al-Kayduh (or is it al-Kye-duh?) right.

Sicky, those towers had to go. You know it. I know it.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of shows out there that already do.

And here I thought Fox couldn't break the record they set with Drive for "Quickest Cancellation Ever."

Although, from what I've heard, this show actually sucked, so they might've done the right thing this time.

And Fox's strategy of starting their fall lineup before all the other networks pays off yet again. They keep their streak alive of being the first network to cancel a show. This time it's something called Do Not Disturb, which starred Jerry O'Connell. Nice job, Fox. That stretches their streak to five hundred and two straight years.

Word is they put shitty shows on their schedule just so they can maintain that precious streak.

Come on! It's not like this is Drive or Firefly or one of the million other Nathan Fillion vehicles that have been prematurely cancelled by Fox. We're talking about Jerry Fucking O'Connell whose only TV success to date has been Sliders (ironically, it survived past 3 episodes... 3 or 4 seasons on Fox IIRC). Otherwise, he's this generation's Ted McGinley (Crossing Jordan's ratings tanked after his arrival, Carpoolers sucked from the get-go... and I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting).

Ratings not withstanding, Crossing Jordan was really good and he was good in it. I don't know why he's downgraded to stupid-ass sitcoms, lately, but whatever. I saw two minutes of Do Not Disturb, the other night, and it deserved the axe.

Prison Break's future is in question, too, but they had a good run, so that's not so bad.

I'm waiting for the axe to drop on Fringe.

I know you guys say its decent, but I missed the premiere and have eps. 2 & 3 on my DVR, but I don't want to waste my time watching them when it will probably be cut after 4-6 episodes.

If the re-run the premiere again, then I might watch them, otherwise I may hold out for the inevitable axe and then just delete them.

Word is it's going to be picked up for a full season.

I don't care for it, but everyone seems to love it, so it'll probably get picked up.

I hate to say this, but Fox needs to pull the plug on Simpsons. I know it's sacrilegious, but I watched the season premiere this weekend, and I don't think I even grinned once.

Some guy at BOP thinks The Simpsons is still awesome, and gave the Season Premiere 3.5 Tivos out of a possible 4. He states that

Granted, I am not one of those die-hard Simpsons fans who were fanatical about the show in the early 1990s and are now relegated to monotonous, whiny complaining that "The Simpsons isn't as good as it used to be" as they tearfully clutch their Season 5 DVD set.

Sounds like he's got a bit of an axe to grind. Personally, I'll keep watching something even if it isn't as good as it used to be as long as its, oh I don't know, STILL GOOD!!

And I just happen to be watching Season 5 right now!

If your 360 is connected to the 'Net, which I'm sure it is, download TVersity and stream all the media on your PC, as well as podcasts, video URLs, etc., to your 360 and watch it on your HDTV. That's what I do.

I can help you get it set up.

Well, TKE (and others), be amazed, because The Fringe has just been picked up for a FULL season. For once, Fox made a GOOD decision.

And I think it's time that the show got its own thread, don't you, Quas?
