CONFESSION TIME

I have not seen The Dark Knight. Hence my recent absence. I was out of town last weekend, and have been busy at work ever since. I have pretty much avoided any review threads. It has been a difficult task, but have survived.

I plan on seeing the film Saturday morning.

PS - You are currently missing out on probably the best superhero movie of all time, and the best villan since Vader.

And you won't be able to enjoy it with a screaming audience, unless you go to the 7PMish showing, so shoot for that!

Ok, saw it. I must say I was blown away by the story, the performances, an the amount of actual stunts.

I want to see it again...

This was the one single movie of the summer I have been looking forward to for .... well... since I fell in love with Batman Begins.

That said, I've been swamped this weekend with Real Life. But I have a question here for those who have seen it. I want to take my 11 year old son. We see PG13 movies together a lot - no issues there.

But I have been reading reviews stating that the dark, sinister, morbid, depraved tone of this movie really stretches the PG13 scale.

Thoughts?

It was less brutal than I'd thought. My friend took her 9yo who saw Begins when it came out. He did fine.

There are only one or two really gruesome scenes, of course involving the Joker. Not much blood at all, all insinuated. If you want detail I can go into the where and when.

Sounds like your kid will be fine. I would say this is on par, or a little less, with the Sixth Sense in "scariness".
