Hmm. That *is* unfortunate. One of the (many) reasons I almost never open IE is that it doesn't like to keep me logged in to this place--and once you try and fail to log in, all the "new posts" indicators are gone.

Maybe I'll just stick with Firefox 2.

IE 6 and the current skin get along fairly well.

Oh well, that's what I get for being an early adopter. Should'uv stuck with what was already working. On the up side, this version does seem to run a little faster.

The compatibility issue with add-ons isn't uncommon when a new version or update has just been released. Mozilla's a community of developers and not all of them are able to finish coding their products by the time an update rolls out, so give it a little time.

You might want to try checking the excellent Mozilla forums for dev releases of some of those programs, however. Until they release a final version, you should be able to use those with Firefox 3 without problems. I manually installed a dev release of TabMix Plus, one of my favorite add-ons, yesterday because Firefox couldn't find a compatible version through the auto-updater. It works flawlessly with Firefox 3.
